Autism Update: Major discovery

A few days ago I wrote a bit about autism and vaccinations (scroll down on the righ to the archive and you'll see the article). Today this bit came across my desk and I thought you might find it interesting. Reading the article I gather this is a major discovery that could have a huge impact on the future of prevention and treatment:

Study: Rare gene change linked to autism
A rare genetic variation dramatically raises the risk of developing autism, a large study showed, opening new research targets for better understanding the disorder and for treating it.
